A manifesto for what we can build together
Anger can wake us up.
Coordination is how we move forward.
The Society of Renewal begins with a simple commitment: to meet suffering with care, understanding, and shared responsibility—and to build systems that help people remain connected, capable, and free.
What exists now
A large vision, honestly begun.
We are starting with public work you can inspect, question, and help improve. Here is what exists today, what remains a proposal, and where we still have more to learn.
From the manifesto
“The individual still has to make the choice. But other people can keep the door visible long enough for the choice to become possible.”Continue reading →
What we are trying to build
Compassion as a foundation. Coordination as a practice.
We want to turn compassion into dependable practice: places to learn, ways to meet essential needs, and institutions people can understand, shape, and improve together. The work begins by listening, testing ideas, and remaining accountable to the people they affect.
- 01Reliable access to food, shelter, healthcare, and meaningful control over one’s own life.
- 02Institutions ordinary people can understand, question, shape, and improve.
- 03Coordination grounded in mutual aid, public goods, compassion, and accountable power.
